Rooted In Purpose, Backed By Commitment
From fiber to fabric—engineering the excellence since Three Generations.
1960 – The Beginning of the Legacy
Our journey began when our Grandfather
Late. Shri. Dattatraya Chadraya Birru, a skilled weaver from Andhra Pradesh, settled in Solapur and started crafting traditional handloom sarees. His dedication to the weaving craft laid the foundation for the family’s textile heritage.

1984 – Establishment of Birru & Birru Textiles
Building on this strong foundation, Birru & Birru Textiles was officially founded. The company focused on producing high-quality textile products while maintaining traditional craftsmanship and integrity.

Early 2000s – Expanding Market Reach
With increasing demand, Solapuri Chaddars began reaching international markets including United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, South Africa, United States, United Kingdom, and Canada.
Product Recognition – GI Status for Solapuri Chaddar
The Solapuri Chaddar received Geographical Indication (GI) status, becoming the first product in Maharashtra to earn this recognition and reinforcing the region’s textile identity.
1990s – Growth in Solapuri Chaddar Manufacturing
The company strengthened its presence in the textile sector with the production of the iconic Solapuri Chaddar, a product deeply associated with Solapur’s textile heritage.

2007 – Expansion into Towels and Grey Cloth
To meet evolving market needs, the company expanded into manufacturing 100% pure cotton terry towels and developed expertise in producing grey cloth, strengthening its textile manufacturing portfolio.

Present Day – Continuing the Tradition
Today, Birru & Birru Textiles continues to uphold the values of quality, professionalism, customer satisfaction, and heritage, delivering premium textile products to both domestic and global markets.
